About
Vision
To establish a world class Vedic Cultural experience that will enable people following Sanaatana Dharma in South Australia and the rest of the country to
-
- pursue spiritual, religious, cultural & educational activities,
- stay connected to their roots and
- provide a glimpse into the core essence of Vedic tradition.
Formation
South Australia (SA) has about 50,000 followers of Sanaatana Dharma (Hindu/Vedic tradition) and the number is estimated to keep growing due to forthcoming migrations.
Sri Venkateswara Cultural Society (SVCS) has been established to cater to the cultural, spiritual and religious needs of this community. SVCS has been constituted by a group of working professionals of Indian origin with shared values – as enumerated in our Vision.
We have appointed a Foundation Committee of eminent professionals and have taken upon ourselves the task of creating a one-of-a-kind monument in Adelaide which will celebrate the Sanatana Dharma (Hindu way of life). We plan to achieve this in two phases.
Our journey so far
Since mid-2019, include consultations with the larger community (and associations), garnering support from the State Government, engaging with other similar entities who have also pledged to help the endeavour.
